Roberta Gambarini came to the U.S. from Torino, Italy in 1998, gaining attention with a 3rd place finish in the Thelonious Monk Int'l Jazz Vocals Competition. Here she appears, with Roy Hargrove and his Quintet, featuring Justin Robinson on alto, and Dwayne Burno on bass, at Jazz Alley, in February of 2002.
