In and around Glacier Bay, life advances as ice retreats. Seemingly endless mountain ranges, tidewater glaciers, and deep fjords encompass diverse plant, marine, and terrestrial wildlife. Constant change needs constant care.
Above, a Humpback Whale sounds, Stellar Sea Lions rest on a haulout, a glacier calves, a Black Bear dines on shellfish while a rare Glacier Bear hybrid grazes on grass, and keeps an eye on the photographer.
