A walk last weekend revealed many changes around the property. Mounting brackets for Seattle Cloud Cover are nearly in place, and illustrated tiles are going up in the Vivarium.
The Pavilion interior has taken on an increasingly finished look, and the terraces to the north are ready for sod. Looking back from the Valley Precinct, grade lines were still in
place, but the surface has been brought right up to the base edges of Richard Serra's "Wake".
Recyled concrete slabs have become stepping stones leading up out of the Valley, and meandering paths have an inviting landscaped look and feel, hinting at the intimacy to be found within the expansive park.
