Saturday morning the first of ten 30-ton sculptured steel plates floated into the Valley precinct of the Olympic Sculpture Park. Created in Germany, pausing in New York, Richard Serra's "Wake" had arrived, piece by beautiful piece, at its permanent home. and precisely placed and connected the ten sections to form the five free-standing elements of the installation. The last section flew into the Valley just after 10 am Sunday morning.
