The pavilion has taken on an elegant reflective stainless steel siding, and glass panes are being installed along the Western Avenue side of the building. The gently angled panels reflect motion and changing light from all around.
Sections of the Elliott Ave. bridge have been built up with styrofoam blocks and are being covered with top soil. Not sure why - I'll try to find out.
Conifer trees, indigenous to the Pacific Northwest such as Douglas-firs, Western Red Cedar, and Western Hemlock, are being planted on the slopes of the Valley precinct.
The base of the Seattle Vivarium has taken shape, and the final pre-cast concrete panels are being positioned off the SW corner of the Elliott Ave. Bridge.
