The handful of Quaking Aspen have become a Groove, and are rapidly leafing out - the first real signs of renewable life on the site. While the the crew is making steady progress on the SE abutment, the NE abutment without going to its east side.

The ramp-like mound of earth near the Pavilion has been sloped down along-side the structure, covering what used to be construction driveway and staging area.

In the SW corner of the upper lot, at Broad and Elliott, the foundation is being built for Mark Dion's Seattle Vivarium.

As more of the parallel concrete wall completed, soil is being moved and contoured over the Elliott Ave bridge approach, and the Valley precinct is being prepped with top soil for its dense planting of fir, cedar, and ferns.
