Saturday, September 10th, brought an unusual day of weekend work. Both upper and lower lots were busy with activity.

Looking west from Western, the north end of the upper lot continues to take on new form, although it's still hard to determine what is temporary and what defines the shape of things to come.

Some signs of next steps are apparent in the faintly visible pink and green markings which are appearing in the dirt, and more components of what will be permanent infrastructure stand at the ready.

The lower lot plateau has been built even higher and longer, and by the end of Saturday was completely covered by plastic sheeting. This quick panorama should provide a sense of scale.

The Myrtle Edwards parking (not) lot, while still being excavated, sat idle over the weekend.

More information about the project is available here.

One neighbor's unoffical journal of construction progress made at the Olympic Sculpture Park. As seen over, and through, the fences.
