The most visible and active project this week is what appears to be a drainage system running under Elliott connecting the north end of the upper and lower lots.

The lower lot has been deeply excavated and is the staging area. Sections of pipe sleeve are welded together and a support trough is lowered into place.

Sections of pipe are prepared with what appears to be support collars and are lowered into the track by the crane.

A large hydraulic ram is then used to push the sections of collared pipe into the larger sleeve.

At least, that's what I think is going on.

Anyone out there with more information is encouraged to chime in. We'd all love to know what the real deal is.

More information about the project is available here.

One neighbor's unoffical journal of construction progress made at the Olympic Sculpture Park. As seen over, and through, the fences.
